Herrera announces lawsuit, targeting ongoing illegal dumping in Bayview/Hunter's Point

SAN FRANCISCO (Feb. 28, 2011)—City Attorney Dennis Herrera, Sup. Malia Cohen of District 10, and Department of Public Works Director Edward D. Reiskin will host a press conference tomorrow to announce a new civil lawsuit against defiant business owners for illegal dumping in San Francisco's Bayview/Hunter's Point neighborhood and propose local dumping legislation. The defendants will be announced tomorrow .
The press conference location at 1301 Donner Avenue is the site at which numerous instances of illegal dumping have occurred.
